About the BackGround Vu
The BackGround Vu Agency also known as the BackGround Voices United or BGV, is an all Vocal Agency that serves as the liaison between Artists and Elite Vocal support. At the BGV, we help vocalist become exposed to professional singing opportunities other wise missed because of the industry’s exclusivity. We link some of the world's most renowned Artists and Musicians with our network of excellent and seasoned vocalists. The BackGround Vu helps clients with staffing vocalists for tours, studio sessions, spots dates, TV appearances, events, rehearsals, substitutions, vocal production and much more!
The BackGround Vu is also committed to educating vocalist on how to live full lives as professionals. We teach life skills, and ways to maximize professional gigging benefits for professional and personal advantages. One of our main focuses is having financial health and wisdom as well as travel knowledge, relationships and getting and keeping gigs.
The BGV was founded by Professional Backing Vocalist, Tanikka Charraé, from Philadelphia, PA. She has supported vocally, Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, Nas, Jazmine Sullivan, Chaka Khan, the Fugees, the Weeknd, YG Marley and many others. She has headed several Vocal sections, and specializes in Vocal Production and Vocal Arranging. After traveling the world, and being exposed to the Upper Echelon of Vocalists both off and on the stage, Tanikka noticed that the vocalist world did not make a lot of room for newer or lesser exposed singers. After constant inquiries from both Artists looking for new singers, and singers looking for new gigs, Tanikka wanted to help bridge the gap.
